Paloma is a practicum student in Counseling Psychology from University of Houston-Victoria. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University. Paloma is originally from Houston and also spent a majority of her upbringing in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Upon graduating, she provided parenting classes based on the The Love and Logic Way Curriculum, completed psychological diagnostic interviews, and cognitive testing.
Paloma’s clinical training has included work with children, adolescents, families, and individual adults. She has experience working with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, family and relationship struggles, and other mental health concerns. Besides her professional work experience, she also has training in yoga, meditation, health and wellness, and is an active practitioner of mind-body awareness.
Paloma enjoys cooking plant-based recipes, reading, and spending time with her husband and her little corgi Tofu. She loves hiking, spending time outdoors, and traveling to beautiful places. She is committed to working with the Spanish speaking community, and underserved populations who frequently don’t have access to mental health care.
