Hilary Aguilar
Practicum Therapist
Hilary is a diligent practicum student pursuing a Master's in Counseling Psychology, with a steadfast commitment to obtaining licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University in Northridge.
Over the past 11 years, Hilary has devoted herself to the role of a stay-at-home mother, tending to the needs of her four children. Motivated by a deep sense of compassion and a genuine interest in comprehending human behavior, Hilary has chosen to transition into a career in mental health, recognizing the significance of aiding others in their personal development. Her experience derives from her passion for helping others, raising children, and volunteering for Hospice in her community. Additionally, through her studies, she has become familiar with providing both intellectual and personality assessments.
Hilary understands that each client is unique in their goals and concerns and that treatment should be tailored to these individual needs. However, she strongly appreciates the focus on changing maladaptive behaviors and thoughts that are associated with cognitive behavioral therapy. She also believes that valuable insight into our family history through family systematic therapy can provide a strong foundation for individuals seeking assistance.
